What made you decide to race the Vance & Hines XR1200 Series?
I liked the idea of spec racing. It’s fair.

What do you think of the Vance & Hines XR1200 Series?
I cant wait to see the racing and I am thankfull Vance & Hines is putting it on. It should be great not needing a big budget to come in and be competitive.

What’s your typical pre-race meal?
I like a good cup of coffee in the morning, then just normal meals and snacks throughout the day. Fresh fruit is good, nothing too heavy or greasy until after the race. After the race I love a great beer and big meal!

What is your pre-race OCD behavior?
You know I can’t tell you this! If the secret gets out, then everybody else would do it!

What is one of your best racing memories?
I really loved riding the Moriwaki MD250 for Bob Fier Racing in the USGPRU series in 2010. It was such a fun bike! Winning the Framstad Cup race in the Central Roadracing Association in the 2010 finale on a Ninja250 was awesome. Winning in general is always a good feeling.

What motivated you to get started racing?
I was very late to get into it. I didn’t start riding until I finished being a professional athlete as a gymnast. I grew up doing gymnastics. I trained at the Olympic Training Center, made a couple national teams, represented the United States around the world, and was recruited by the University of Michigan where I competed and received my undergrad in Economics and Math. When it was time to move on from gymnastics, I took an R6 to the track and was hooked. My competitive nature quickly put me on the path to start racing.

What would you be doing if you weren’t a professional motorcycle racer?
Starting my own business, racing mountain bikes, or traveling.

What’s the best thing about being a professional athlete?
Getting to meet and compete against great athletes. Pushing myself to do so allows me to learn some really cool things about myself, and how to live life.

What else is in your garage?
A mountain bike, fixed gear bicycle, unicycle, KLX140 mini bike setup with a flat track tire on the rear, Yamaha WR250X Supermoto. Also tools to work on everything and a couple posters of sexy girls wearing very little.
